Discount Mattress Stores
This is a very difficult subject to touch on since I don't want to upset the reputable discount mattress store. What I want you to understand is that you must do your homework when dealing with discount mattress stores. Make sure the company has been in business for several years and has not changed names or owners. You should not be at a discount mattress store unless you have no other option. Your mattress should be one of the most expensive items you own.
Your car payment should come second to your mattress payment. Your car does not impact your health like a good nights sleep. Your plasma television does not improve your health like a good mattress. So why are you looking for a mattress in a discount mattress store. You should only be in there if you need a spare mattress for your in-laws or for other friends and family that you don't want to stay too long. Well if you have to and just cannot bring yourself to buy an expensive mattress from a high-end mattress retailer allow me to give you some friendly advice. First and foremost never pay sticker price. Most of the time, if you walk out or just pretend to walk out you can get 25% to 40% off the sticker price. Negotiate and Negotiate. Come in and look around and get prices and then leave.
Come back the next day and be sure to come back on a day that a manager is around and always make sure your salesman will be in when you come back. Not all discount mattress stores are bad or shady, but we don't need warning about those stores that have been around for decades. You need to be careful when the mattress store pops up and starts flooding the neighborhood with flyers and newspaper inserts. You are a smart person! Just user your head when making your mattress purchase. Don't buy the mattress without spending at least 15 minutes resting on the mattress. You cannot begin to understand what it is gong to feel unlike unless you give it at least 15 minutes. Once you have made a decision be sure to write down all the details of the mattress. IE Thickness, color or pattern on the mattress, pillowtop or not pillow top. Many times due to the similarity of mattresses in a warehouse or a bate and switch, you need to do everything you can to protect yourself from getting the wrong mattress.
